Presence of Incendiary Devices
Evaporated Steel
Although almost all of the structural steel from the Twin Towers and Building 7 was removed and shipped to China to be melted down before forensic analysis could be completed, a blatant violation of Federal crime scene laws, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) did conduct a preliminary and cursory investigation on two steel samples which showed "evidence of a severe high temperature corrosion attack on the steel, including rapid oxidation and sulfidation with subsequent intergranular melting capable of turning a solid steel girder into Swiss cheese" (Metallurgical Examination of WTC Steel Suggests Explosives).
The New York Times called this "perhaps the deepest mystery uncovered in the investigation."

Maximum temperature of hydrocarbon fires burning in the atmosphere without pressurization or preheating (Maximum jet fuel burn temperature): 825°C (1517°F)
Melting point of iron: 1535°C (2795°F)
Melting point of typical structural steel: 1510°C (2750°F)
Neither jet fuels nor office fires can burn anywhere close to steel's melting point, much less its evaporation point, even with the presence of free sulfur (Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth).

Extreme Hot Spots and Persistent Heat
By using NASA's thermal imaging of the WTC rubble pile surface the United States Geological Survey (USGS) was able to document hot spots with temperatures reaching almost 1,400°F five days after the collapse on September 16, 2011. However, there were no fires present on the surface of the WTC 7 rubble (Mark A) indicating much hotter temperatures were coming from deeper within the pile. The extreme heat persisted for weeks on end despite continuously spraying millions of gallons of water onto the debris pile (Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth).
